If GM doesn't bring the Camaro (and/or Firebird) back, what do you expect? The Mustang's a winner. :cool

The Corvette shouldn't even be in the same class when consideration is given to popular opinion. :eyerole

I don't know what this "poll" is all about, but judging from the crowds I saw at our local auto show, Ford has a real crowd-pleasing winner in the new Mustang, even though I still love Corvettes. Looks, performance and price are all spot "on" with the new Mustang. My parents still have our old '65 Mustang which has been with us all over the world, so I admit to an emotional attachment. Still, Ford's done a good job, here, and I'm looking forward to the Shelby and Cobra versions, and have read that the Cobra version will be a bit closer to the Mustang concept, which was an absolute knockout. While I suspect that there will be two distinct markets for the Mustang and the C6, I wouldn't be surprised if the Mustangs (especially the ultra-high performance versions) steal some sales, especially among younger buyers in the market for performance cars.

There are more Mustangs than Vettes, so they will be getting more votes anyway.

Yes, I agree. That is rediculous to put a car like the Mustang against the Corvette in a popularity vote. They aren't even in the same class of automobile. Also, like said, more people have Mustangs, which would incline them to vote that way.

Why not? All they are asking is "what is your favorite new car". Class is important but not in this case, IMHO.

I'm sure there are a bunch of people who don't own any of the cars listed. If I didn't own a Corvette I would be in that group. Does that mean I wouldn't vote? There is no reasonable expectation that many or most of the votes for Mustangs are from Mustang owners.

Back on Top!

I just voted and the Vette is back at #1 ! 44% of the vote to the Mustang's 36%. Although I have to admit, that mustang looks good. Looks better in the rear view mirror of my vette!

Good to see the vette is back on top but people calm down. Why are people getting some what upset lol i think its funny but also sad in a way. I started this post for fun and so that the Corvette can get the most votes. I am sure there was atleast one mustang guy that did the same thing for there forums. But keep the votes going and dont get upset lol
thanks

OK, I voted for the vette. Partly because I like the looks and all that. However, I really do not think the "new" vette really is as changed from the C5 as the Mustang. I also like the looks of the Mustang. GM really does need to return or replace the Camero or Firebird to directly compete with the Stang.

Like I said I like the new vette it simply does not impress me that much. Yes I would have to drive them all and form a more informed impression. On looks alone the C6 really is a C5.5 to me.

And I too find this a cause for a smile.

Great job every one we are killing them now!!! Any way that anyone looks at it rather some may think its an internet contest or just a dumb contest that people that have no clue what they are talking about vote on. Well thats what it is, but who knows they may post them results in a magazine or discuss it on a TV show. Who wants to hear that the new mustang got more positive feedback from the car buying public than the Corvette. NOT ME!!!! lol but anyways I dont think we will have to worry about that now everyone did a great job and KEEP VOTING. THANKS
