C6 lights vs. C5 lights

To any of you new C-6 owners who used to own a C-5: Is the above hype or is there a significant gain in illumination?

There is a SIGNIFICANT gain over ALL previous Corvettes! Front illumination has been horrible at best prior to the C6 and the "foglights" have served absolutely NO purpose!

I was under the impression that the C6 used plastic lense covers NOT glass.

Am I wrong?

The difference really is like day and night. The lens covers are polycarbonate.

I like the cute 'lil "pop up" headlamps on the C5, but the ones on the C6 perform better (aerodynamically) and put out more light. Plus, they look like they came from a Ferrari (sp???).

You are correct . . .

Having put quite a few miles on C6's and driven several of them @ night, the C6 headlights are unbelievable.
