The problem is, those designs look almost exactly like the new Chevy SS. So much so that I think a general person wouldn't be able to tell the difference seeing one drive by.

That would be an immeasurable mistake, because Corvette is, obviously, a vehicle with its own look and sets its own standard, so I think we might see something much different in the finished version of the C6.

(I'm talking about the actual pictures in Road & Track, August 2002).

The first bunch of those look like slight C5 reskins.

The last picture--now that's new. But not recognizable as
a corvette at all.

Artist concept drawings are one thing and real photos are another. Motor Trend can dream all they like. I haven't seen anything of their design ever make it to production in the last 30 years. This from the magazine that voted the Vega the Motor Trend Car of the Year!

The Road And Track (Aug. 2002) convertible is not that bad looking but the coupe leaves something to be desired. The wheels are fat just need to be chrome.

I dont like the headlights or hood, but I like the rest of it.

I also thought that the headlights looked kinda awful on the road and track one... I was just fooling around in class and thought I would post some...

C6 Not so good!!

And l bet all of those C5 owner's that dumped their vette's are sorry now being that the C5 looks as good or not better.

You cannot believe how many C5's are for sale across America.

lf you want a C5, buy it now because the price has to rise.

Those pics are just plain ugly. If it comes out like those, it will be the first generation of vettes that I would not want to own.

" thought I might add" alot has happend (been anounced) since Nov.2002 Caddys involment in racing, and anouncement that it will share the all new"y" platform with the corvette. The end of production for the Camarow and Fire Bird and the anouncement that there production facilitys are to be converted to caddilac production leades me to beleave that there is to be a Camero,Fire Bird like relationship betwine corvette and a caddilac "who knows what" in are fuecher. based on production and sales the compromise whould sway towards the caddilac. how about a fore door luxery corvette with a 750 hp C.I. on demand V16 that resembles a Humvee sound? truth is it costs big dollers to develop youth orented preformance vehecals in a automotive market that supports one ton fore door P.U.trucks (deassel )because todays yupies figure that if they getin a 80MPH head on while talking on there cell they want to stack the odds in there faver, regardless of howmuch they have to finance or how much fuel they waste driving to work and out shopping. to them it jest makes good sents. to me 50k worth of paying attention whould be saffer. To this end I would say If you have a Z06 ceep it as it very well may be the baddest forever. The new C6 might be a station wagon.
Times are changing

what did this guy named Zora do anyway? youth market? :bar

The developers of the forum software have completely re-written this forum software from the ground up. It is entering a beta stage of development and hasn't reached production yet. Once they release it and I've had a chance to implement it here on the site, I'll look into a spell checker.

Most spell checkers are no longer free services and require a subscription fee. If I can find one with a low enough fee or no fee at all, I'll do my best to add it in after the new software is released. :)

UNtil then write it in Word then cut and paste. LOL
It's free anyway.

Thanks ROB :D untill that happens think I will give LT4HITSTHESPOTs Idea a try :beer
