Over the years, our British friends overseas haven't thought kindly about the Corvette, let alone, American cars in general. In one episode of Top Gear, they had a military grade helicopter fill a C4 Corvette full of bullets.

Top Gear has traditionally labeled the Corvette, big, heavy, inferior quality and extremely poor handling. With all of the accolades that the C7 Corvette had acquired from the general media, it will be interesting to see what they think of America's latest little rocket. Below is the trailer for their upcoming episode:

I don't think they will let reality color (colour?) their opinions. Jeremy is a frustrated sprint car driver, and doesn't know how to finesse a car around any circuit (going sideways is not the same as going forward on pavement). He broadslides every turn, and it's hard to tell how a car really handles when you are going sideways. How many times have you seen a real race car driver drift a real race car turn after turn in a real race? The show is meant to be entertaining, and it is. The only true expert capable of judging ultimate performance is the Stig, and they don't let him speak, lest he interfere with the "entertainment" or otherwise overshadow the theme.

That said, it will be fun. At worse, I'd guess they will say the Vette is better than before - or less bad. ;LOL
