News: C7 Engine?

Amen.

Direct injection is the most efficient induction system ever devised, so it stands to reason it will find a home in the C7. GM has a history of trying out new technology in specialized packages. Remember the Quad 4? It led to engines like the Northstar V8, so their Indy 4 might be grandaddy for the new V8.

Anyhow, as Hib so eloquently explained, it's likely already crated and ready. And I'm sure it will be a V8. I mean, hey ... it's a Corvette.

Me? "Eloquent"?
Man...have I got you guys fooled.

As for the Quad 4 having "led" to the premium-V engine series....did we suddenly revise history? I thought the LT5 was what got GM thinking of an in-house DOHC V8.

Quad 4, vibration and all, led to the Ecotech and it's current derivatives.
