I know the majority of you fellas have Callaway Vettes but maybe you know someone that has a C8 (besides Tony) I need to know what type of front air/dam they had custom made for them. The stock air dam will not fit at all. I was meaning to ask this awhile back but studying for these colleges examinations sure eat up all your time. Detailed underneath pictures would be nice!!! Take care everyone.

Looks like you will have to wait until Jan 3rd when Chris comes to my house to party & I will have him take some pictures for you.:D

Yeah Johnny, I will grab some pics, Pray for NO SNOW Tony :upthumbs

I have a friend with one. I will point him to this post and see what he has to say.

Chris, I hope it doesn't snow as well. German weather forecasters are predicting one of the most severe winters this season due in part to the hottest summer that swept thru Europe in 110yrs.

90 Corvette ZR-1, maybe you can send me your friends email address. Does he have a commemorative C8 edition or the 93-97 Aerobody? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

Johnny

He has the prototype of the C8. He is rather private about his cars thus I am not inclined to post his name or e-mail address. Not that I blaim him.

When you say "prototype" do mean Paul Deustchman inspired styling cues that were used before Callaway decided what was going to be the final overall look on the C8 before permanent molds were made. I would gladly like to here from your friend being that C8 owners are next to zero. Thanks anyway for checking up on that for me.

Johnny

I'm not sure what he ment when he told me that he owned the prototype, but that's what he told me. The car is sliver and it beautiful.

90 Corvette ZR1, hopefully he can be helpful towards my project. I believe there is only 2 Silver C8's in existence from Callaway. Is his ride the one floating on the net in front of a modern mansion? Anyway anything you can do to help me out..........thanks!

Callaway4fun, the sooner I see the pictures the better. Thanks

Johnny

Johnny, I hope I didn't keep you in the wait too long - I was dead tirred when I got in the drive last night:crazy

Here is the C8 lower spoiler, Looked like a factory (Camaro) piece with perfect fit - Hope this helps :beer

Chis,

Thanks for your prompt response, all I can say is that it appears that the stock dam was reused but just repositioned further back since the C8 front piece doesn't go as far back as the stock nose piece underneath near the radiator support. Nevertheless, those pictures sure gave me ideas from where to start at.

Separate question, I've polished to a mirror reflection the outer rim piece on my Fikse FM/5s but has anyone seen or tried polishing the star portion of the rim. They have a different finish to them; I believe they would look soo much appealing having an equal reflection. Anyone..........

Johnny

Johnny, were those pics what you had in mind? If you need more, I can possibly look into that for you...

EricVonHa has FM5's on his 93 and they shine BIG TIME :eek

Not sure if he polished them or, if that's how they came - maybe he can let you know :m

90 Corvette ZR-1,

Have you any word from your friend with the prototype C8? Thanks.......

Johnny

Chris,

Sorry for keeping yall in suspense but as I was taking her to the inspection station I parked at a convenient store and noticed a small pool of oil. After investigating it further, I had a oil-pan gasket leak! I will just say German inspectors don't have degrees in Human relations! She is getting worked on at the moment, she should be ready for inspection on Monday.

Do you have a pictures of the rough draft for the Club t-shirt?

Keep the faith on your car - now more suspense in waiting for the pics :upthumbs

Here are a few shots of the shirt in its early stages :v

Chris,

The shirt looks perfectly fine but my only suggestion would be to have a picture of Sledgehammer preferably the on Luigi's site. She is the most recognized and popular Callaway in world. She is too fine! LOL
