DETROIT – Cadillac’s CTS product line, the centerpiece of the brand’s revised lineup, has been selected by Car and Driver magazine for its annual“10Best” list for the third consecutive year.

“10Best winners are those vehicles that crack the greatness code, offering that elusive combination of driving enjoyment, mission fulfillment, and value,” said Eddie Alterman, Car and Driver editor-in-chief. “That the CTS has made the list for a third consecutive year is a tribute to the Cadillac’s fundamental integrity and staying power”

Cadillac’s CTS Sport Sedan is the core of the brand, and initially was selected to Car and Driver’s 10Best in 2008. The high-performance 556-horsepower (415 kW) CTS-V model drove CTS back on to the 10Best list for 2009. And the new CTS Sport Wagon model that went on sale in September helped the CTS achieve the “3-Peat” this year.

The 2011 CTS Coupe and CTS-V Coupe join the lineup next year.

Car and Driver’s twenty-eight annual 10Best Award is the magazine’s highest honor, reserved for entirely new or substantially updated cars, and previous winners. Fifty-eight of the industry’s top new vehicles competed this year in the magazine’s extensive test. The entire 10Best award report appears in the January 2010 edition of the magazine, on newsstands now.

I bought a 2008 CTS in September 2008, and it is one of the best cars I have ever owned.............along with my 2010 Vette, of course !!

Great styling, both outside and inside, and lots of power, and that smooth Cadillac ride.

But, I still can't wait for the spring to arrive, so that I can put The Caddy off to the side, and take the Corvette out once again.

Dennis :D

There are 2 kinds of cars in my garage also - Corvettes and a CTS-V. The CTS is a great car and I'm glad that C&D continues to recognize that.

I agree. The CTS is one fine ride. I've driven Cadi's for nearly twenty years (mostly rentals) and thought they lost it a bit for awhile. However, they've come back with a vengeance and the CTS is a major part of that success. When I get too old and feeble to handle the Vette, I'll most likely end up in one. Or maybe I'll just get one for the wife and get the best of both worlds! :thumb

Tuna - I still think a new one would look great in your driveway...

So do I but.....
Just can't pull the trigger on the deal right now.

I picked up my 300 hp AWD sport suspension silver CTS in oct 2007..

It really is a great car.

Two years later I still enjoy the vehicle everytime I drive it.

I am impressed with this car even to this day.

I do wish GM would put the L99 in an awd sport model..

Not that the 300hp isn't enough because it really is a quick competent sports sedan.

C & D really made a smart decision including this vehicle as one of the ten best.

I recently drove the CTS V and it really is an impressive vehicle.

I really dig the new coupe too.

Nice car, starting MSRP 60grand.. A little pricy.. I'd have to go with the CTS sedan.

What kind of mileage do ya get out of the AWD CTS?

L8TR - D

Almost all in and around town driving I'm recording 18.7 mpg (very little highway) with over 20k miles..

Great vehicle. Highway driving offers around 27 mpg if I remember correctly..

Local driving is about 4 mpg better than the LS3 M6 vette...

Highway is about the same. HTH

Buy with confidence..IMO
