CAGS Bypass woes

When I feel the skip shift, I actually shift into 1->3rd. I dont have to jam it in either. It goes into 3rd quite easily. Is that bad for the car?

Never done that but I suppose the Skip Shift Solenoid is worn or will wear out pre-maturelly... JMO.

The 1 - 4 shift thingie is driving me nuts, and going fast to avoid it eats up gas! I'm going to get the eliminator by-pass thing but wondered if the socket is hard to locate when disconnecting? Are directions given?

The connection is on the side of the tranny housing-and well marked. Best mod out there.
