Hello everyone,

As some of you know, some corvettedrivers here in Holland know that there was a Aero Callaway somewhere, but we didn't know for sure where!
It wasn't luck but something far beyond that how we found this masterpiece!
A corvettefriend of mine run's a window frame shop and sell's and put's them in place on side where the buyer wants.
One day an employe come's back and say's he saw a Corvette, but it didn't look like a normale corvette but it was one for sure!
Well here in Holland we have on total! round 1550 registered corvette's, so finding a corvette is like finding a needle in a haystack. When my friend (Mario) called this guy just out of cusiosity, he told him it was a Callaway Car from 91 of 92.
Well for the handfull of Callaway fan's here in Holland it almost was to hard to beleave!
The owner is an American how is mostly in the States and from time to time here. He took it from the States to here but didn't run it that much (the last two years it didn't move an inche!) Some friend recalled a Aerobody at a meeting back in 98 (or something) the only one they ever saw!
Mario visited him last week to look at the window frame's... yea right! :D :D
It's indeed a Aerobodied Callaway, the owner couldn't find the key's so he didn't get al look under at the engine, but it's a SNAT (most likely 400) it has 5 poke ZR rim's. It isn't parked.. no, it's like in a box. I've seen some serieus parking but my heard just start's pumping when i see those bike's so close to the back of the vette! We (till so far) don't have a VIN or other info just 2 pic's.
The owner is thinking about selling the Callaway here in Holland... Hmmm where is money when i need it! I'm now doing a body off on my 81 so no cash for this baby :( My friend and i want to keep this vette in Holland because it's one of a kind here. And try to get a buyer how know's to handel this car and doesn't see it as another toy! But if it isn't going to work maybe it's going back across the ocean.
So this is the story, it's parked in a garage only 15 miles from my place, and i never saw it... but i know it's there better luck next time!

Nice find :beer

Nice pics. I've come to the conclusion that either Dymags or OZ futuras are about the only wheels that an Aero body car should wear.

Peter - What is he asking for the car?

Looks interesting - The VIN# would be the most useful thing when contacting Joanne Mercer @ Callaway Cars

Good luck to you and your friend - Hopefully you will be enjoying the car soon :beer

As far as i know, the gentlemen didn't have a clue what to ask for the Callaway. I heard something about 25k euro but that's very low in my opinion! (would be very nice for me if i had the cash..:( )
I think about 30... maybe 35 would be better depending on the state and additional options (no brembo's, coils?)
I agree, Dymag's of OZ look better on this body then the ZR rim's, there a little tiny i think...

But as i sad the guy is most of his time in the states, so hopefully he isn't in a rush.. for the next 5 to 10 years... :D
The problem with shipping it back to the US, is the bad dollar/euro ratio, and the extra shipping cost. But it would be in good hands over here i hope.
Mario is going to get the VIN next time, but till then the only option is waiting...
I don't know if this gentlemen is into the internet very much, what i've heard he testdrive's new cars for tv programma's (saw foto's of him and a tested mosler in front of Mike's store! So he know's what fun is ;) ... Hopefully i'll meet him in person one day.

Sounds like the guy isn't in any rush if the car is cornered into the garage as the pic's showed :eek

I have no clue what a euro's value is, compared to the US Dollar

Having the SNAT 400 engine (with paperwork) alone would put its value right about what a 92 ZR1 is worth (I am assuming this Callaway is a 92 like you had mentioned) - factor in the Aerobody and any other Callaway Options and we can guess what would be a decent price once you get more info.

Good luck - Looks like a nice ride :beer

$25K EURO = 28,877.79 USD

Nope sorry

Callaway info over here isn't that fast.. :(

Don't you mean four to five years?????????:Silly :v

Thanks man - Guess you haven't been to many Vette shows lately... ANy more pics of the blue carbon fiber Callaway??

No shows lately... Most germans pull the plates off the car to save insurance and tax money during the winter months. I haven't seen that blue carbon fiber car since that show. It would be nice to have some blue carbon fiber in the Grand Sport. Maybe a little red carbon fiber.

German shows

Keep me posted on any German Corvette shows. I'm looking for an excuse to take my 90 Twin Turbo on the autobahns.

Also some UK ZR1 owners are talking about having a meeting somewhere in Europe. One or two of them come down to Germany now and again.

Hello Malcom,

Next year we'll have the second Corvette Fame in Holland (Valkenburg) it's in the south east of Holland close to the German and Belgium border. It's a 2 or 3 day event the first weekend of July if i'm correct. When i find some pic's i'll post them here or mail them to you.

Greets Peter.

Cheers Peter

I went to the Corvette Camaro Firebird event in Belgium a couple of times - once in my 93 LT1, great drive, great people, great nightlife!

Dutch people I've met before (I've met plenty while diving in the Mediterranean) always seem real laid back and a good laugh! Looking forward to the event and pics!

92 SNAT update.. sort of...
Here is little to no info update's on the 92 SNAT, its moved into the wintergarage and the owner is back in de USA, don't know for how long. The idea's to sell the SNAT are back in the freezer for now..
John how had some interest in the SNAT, now has a good looking C5 after totaling his upgraded C4...
That's it for now, the spring will bring new update's I hope!

Groeten Peter.
