The first Callaway Convertible was indeed car #4

> The first four cars had "truck blocks"
>cars 1-3 were all coupes with #001, a bright red coupe
>#002, dark red coupe
>#003, met. gray (very light & silvery)
and car#004, the black convertible

Good guess Pete - Thank you to everyone who guessed, collect your prize from Eric Von Ha:drink

Chris, I submitted my expense report to C.O.G. for 10 cases of Yuengling. One will be for the winner of this Quiz and the rest... well, Bloomington and Carlisle will be great events! :)

Tt# 004

My father was the second owner of #4. It was unique for several reasons. It was the last of the LF5 truck blocks, the only LF5 vert, the first vert, and also the first car with Dymags from the factory. I remember the letter from Callaway very well talking about the history of the car. We got it with about 3000 miles, and I put about 1200 on it. I still have some parts from it that we replaced.

Miss that one too

Anthony, sounds like a VERY interesting Callaway indeed - I had heard rumor that it may surface for sale soon...

Of the four LF5 cars, #1 (Br. red) is in the Natl. C'vette Museum, #2 is for sale / was for sale (Dark red coupe). #3 is in DE. and happily owned (Med. grayish) and then #4, black vert :upthumbs
