Has someone been calling me

Hi fellows,

Sadly with the work associated with the " around the house, dog run's, leaves, etc. " going on in preparation for the coming Winter, I have not been getting in much garage time. When I do get a few hours to myself, it has been used to cut away the cancer, that is sometimes found in a birdcage. I will post more on this later.

So Brian, as far as the engine goes, for now there is no work at all being done. However it is not to say that I have abandoned the plans for the rebuild. I have been using this time to collect all the parts that I will need for the engine build. Had you not inquired, I would not have troubled you with any details, or pictures, but in as much as you asked, I felt compelled to at least show you what has been received so far.

Here are some of the engine parts that will be used to build the 572, hope you enjoy.

Man that is beautiful !!!! Bet it will give as good as it looks.

Thanks for the update Bob! I love looking at fresh parts almost as much as putting them together:D It sure will be a great looking package when done.

I would love to see some pics of your birdcage work, as that is an art in itself.

Take care,
Brian

Brian,

Funny thing, the only rust that could be found anywhere on the birdcage, was at the top of both latch pillers. The following are the before and after pictures of the repairs. I have completed one side, the other will be done in the coming weeks

Best regards to you both ;)

Bob

Nice stuff "Handsom Man" We share some of the same parts.. Power Master Alt...Keisler Tranny..And The Snaderson Headers and the March Pulley gack. And...Who's Bell Housing is that.. Is that the one Keisler is making? It looks like Aluminum..So you are not going with a scatter sheild to protec the go-nads..??

Are the heads on the 572 the same as the 502? The header looks pretty much the same as mine.

Other wise some cool parts..

Mark,

I can live with " handsom man " :L i'v actually been called much worse.

Thank's for the compliments, I had noticed that some of our goodies looked alike. As far as the heads, I don't believe so. The part numbers of mine are # 12499255 rect. ports

The housing is titanium/aluminum made by Keislers, and was part of my complete package. I will probably be going with a safer unit from " Lakewood " but I have too many things going on now to worry about it.

The headers are identical. After fabbing them up ( Sanderson ) for the 502, they realized that they would retro fit the 572. It's the Ole two birds thingy

Ah...Soo.. That's the diff in the heads.. Mine are Oval or "D" ports. Yeah ..I would definitly go with a scatter shield to protect your tennis balls. The Bell Housing from Keisler looks nice... I know that it is also Machined to be square at the mating surfaces as per the Keisler Warranty... IE..Run out.

Make sure you get the Lakewood or who's ever your going to use machined out. Keisler can do it for you for a nominal charge to mantain your tranny warranty.

I'm very happy with my Sanderson Headers.. No Leakes due to there pattened flange seal. The header bolts have not moved a "CH". I'm using the Stage 8 Bolt locks and bolts. And.. the headers still look like new.

I must give Ko-Doo's to Rich Lagasse here.... as he recomended the Sanderson Headers and the Stage 8 Header bolts and locks. In fact Rich and Bill Bradley and 67 Heaven and others helped me out quite a bit with my Project. In fact there were many.

So finish up them honey doo..s and get the bear meat in for the winter and keep us posted on your project.

Mark,

I have nothing at all to do with any police force, but I do have Smith & Wesson on 24 hour duty. Actually it's Mr. Smith and he weighs about 90 lbs, and not one of them is fat. Mrs Wesson , ( his Bîtch ) weighs in at about 75 lbs, but she is really something you would want to stay away from. If you happen to walk by too close to the house, she will actually try to eat the front window pane to try and get her point across to you.

Both Dobermans are 100% pure bread, from championship stock, The parents and grand parents were Canadian first place show champions.

However I still don't know what the " S " means in Bob's avatar. Maby I should sic the dogs on him, I'll bet he would tell me then ;LOL
