I am going to install some AFR 180 eliminators on my ZZ4.
What cam should I use Lt4 hot cam or xr282.
The xr282 is Compp cams recomendation But the Lt4 hot cam is what GM uses to build there ZZ430.
My combo is going to look like ZZ4 short block,AFR 180 eliminators,holley 770,1 5/8 headers and 2 1/2 true duals,m 21 and 355s.
The What do you all think?

I like the Comp cam although i would go one grind smaller and get the duration at .050 in the low 220's. Are you replacing the stock ZZ4 heads with the AFR's or do you have a ZZ4 short block that you are adding the AFR heads to? The reason i ask is,i belive the combustion chambers in the ZZ4(Corvette) heads is 58cc so will need to order your AFR's with the same so you can keep your compression ratio at 10:1.(especially if you go with that 230 dur cam). Good luck with your project, those heads are on my wish list for my car.

Yea already talked toAFR about the chambers you can get any chamber from
56 to 75 ccs.

If you have access to some good fuel aka race gas go with the smallest chamber and a nice healthy cam. BTW is this engine hooked to a manual trans? If so its gonna be fun some 3.73 gears or better and its gonna scoot
