Someone installed a Saginaw tranny at some point in the past in my vette. I'm replacing the u-joints and need to confirm what drive shaft and year I have. The end yokes on the shaft say Spicer with part number A3R27. I can't find this part number anywhere on the internet. Any suggestion on how to verify what u-joint goes with this yoke? In case you are asking yourself why not cross reference the u-joints that where installed...they have already been thrown out :mad

You may aready know that Spicer is a product of the Dana Corp, their web site is : http://www2.dana.com/. Even search for the A3R27 number doesn't seem to show, you may want to contact them and give them the dimensions of the shaft on your Vette to see if it is one of theirs. Good luck!

Thanks for the replies guys. I called Neapco, maker of bruteforce u-joints since I purchased this brand. Their tech support informed me that all spicer driveshaft yokes use a 1330 spicer type u-joint. Turns out I did purchase the correct u-joints. They justed needed a little lite tap with a rubber mallet to fit properly. I think I'm good to go.
