Can Hood be repaired?

When hood was open, someone??? (suspect my trusty Chevy mechanic) pulled/pushed in an effort to lower the hood and cracked the fiberglass just above the hood strut mount. The crack goes all the way thru the U channel where the hood strut mount is attached to the hood. Crack does not extend thru to the exterior (top side) of the hood, but exterior paint is stressed directly above the crack. Can this be repaired? or should I purchase new hood?

A good shop that knows fiberglass can do the repair. A new hood may not fit quite right or at least not as good as the one you have now.My 69 had every body panel on it repaired during it's lifetime. Good luck.
