Before I go and goof something up, I wanted to see if anyone has seen any ill affects from using RainX® on the stock acryllic top (mine is a 1990 bronze-tint top if that matters). Thanks, Tim

I'll let someone else come in with an expert answer, but I don't think I'd do it myself.:(

Tim I don't know the answer but I did try Zanio's window polish on mine one time and it was not good. Made the little pitts look like big pitts.:eek

This may sound strange but i was told by the company that repaired my roof ( new acrylic) to just use of all things liquid Turtle Wax. Even better, it works!!!!;shrug

I checked www.rainx.com, and in their FAQ there was a question about using it on plastics, and they said to consult the manufacturer, so that was not too much help. I may decide to just leave it be, or possible to just a small corner and watch the results for a while, so see if I have any adverse effects, then do the whole top if I don't see any. Thanks for the responses.

I always wax my transparent roof whenever I wax the car. I've been doing it for years with no ill effects.

I will try waxing it next time I wax the car...good idea.

I have tried many things on the roof. I got the best results using Honda motorcycle helmet polish, it comes in a spray can. I have mentioned this at other times but no one seems to take the advice. I guess because the words Honda and motorcycle are mentioned. Oh well, at least my roof looks like a Diamond. ;shrug
