A break in Ivan's rains and wind found me sitting in the garage with a beer listening to my 'vette idling, just staring at it. (Yes the door was open)

I thought how silly this would look to 'normal' people. The shine and shape with the siren song exhaust rumbling was actually very entertaining!

Like the McGuire's guy says, "How bad do you have it?" I would like to know where this rates on the lunatic meter.

In a word... "Absolutely"

In a few more than that "You bet your A$$" :D

Especially in the winter, I need to go out to the garage and listen to the sidepipes on the 67. Reminds me of simpler times.

Side pipes on a '67....

The benchmark of all existence.

:upthumbs :D

Hey every once in a while --- late at night, when I've had just maybe one too many beers, I'll flip on the garage light, just stand there and admire her for a few :L ;LOL

I think it's closer to lust than love. :dance

It must be love.....she can't cook, she don't do dishes,i haven't ridden her in years.she just sort of lays there.costs me all kinds of money but i stll keep her
around.mike

....she also dont talk back, and doesn't mind when you spend a little too much time with her. I find the relationship that I have with my car is wonderful. My girlfriend actually feels threatened sometimes. All I know is that I have found my soulmate. My car...:L

How well we know the feeling!! Many times, especially after a show, we'll do just that...sit in the garage with a cocktail just looking at the Corvettes and reliving the day!! :beer

We know our neighbors think we're crazy when they see that, but we don't care! It's pure love...and lust!!:D

Most definitely you can be in love with your Vette.

In fact I find it more rewarding than my, well I better not go there.....

Just make certain you have the garage door open if you have it running. We don't need to read your obit of CO poisoning.

I just sold my Gold Wing....I had to make a choice between toys....

I told it I was sorry....and I cried as the guy hauled it away on his trailer.

All that day, I told myself it was only metal and plastic...nothing more.

Didn't work.

I whisper sweet nothings to my vette when I'm giving it a wax or when I'm out cruising.. this is the most enjoyable relationship I've ever been in.

well heck yes!!!!:)
as posted above "vettes are a special breed of car" just as the owners of them are a special breed of people,:) I often find myself gazing at mine through my kitchen window that over looks my carport and still loving it after almost 2 years of owning her, I actually look foreward to the wash and wax times and detailing her all just to drive her around and show her off :) ..if thats nuts then Im certifiable!!!! ;LOL
Sherry:)
