I have replaced the intake manifold gasket set using the Right Stuff.
I have replaced the valve cover gaskets.
I have replaced the oil filter adapter gasket and o-ring.
I have tightened up the oil pan bolts.
Still, there is an oil leak near the rear of the engine. When I have finished a quarter mile, there is burning oil smell and smoke coming up from the rear of the enigine, directly above the oil filter. That is the only time that I get any evidence of an oil leak. I presume that it is because of high oil pressure resulting from the high RPM operation.

Any suggestions?

Could it be a bad oil pressure sensor, or oil pressure sensor fitting to the block? I can't see where it is, but at that high up on the block, I don't see oil on the surface of the block's bell housing joint.

Oil leak up high in rear of engine

Yup, oil pressure sensor. There are two of them. One feeds the gauge and the other feeds the computer to turn on the "Check Gauges" light if pressure is low. They are such a bi.ch to get to, I'd replace both.
Good luck.
