Hi everyone:

Last summer I purchased a car cover from "Back East Covers" at Carlisle. The cover is called "Grayshield" and is made from 100% cotton. The premise is that it is so soft it will not scratch the finish and they are correct it has not. However I am experencing a different problem, that I am not sure is unique to this kind of cover: the cover lets in fine dust. I have a black car and whenever I remove the cover, there is so much dust on it that I have to wipe it down or it looks terrible. My question to any and all is are all covers like this or is there another kind of cover that will not let in the dust? I appreciate your reponses.

Thanks,

markone

I have a soft cloth cover that does the same thing but the car is red so might not be as noticeable. I usually lay a plastic tarp over the top of the soft cover for long term storage.

situation normal..........i have a wolf ev4........ca duster comes in real handy

Forgot what make mine is but it does the same thing.I guess they all do that,I thought it was exterior dust but I guess it's in the fabric....:cry

Thanks, I use my CA Duster for the same thing...seems weird though, to have to dust it when it's covered.
