Car Fax please / 6th gear question

I'm looking at a 99 6-sp 1g1yy22g4x5130340. Car Fax any one?

Is 6th gear lock out until the car reaches a specific MPH?
It felt odd going from 5th to 6th. A little like the snycro was out and the car did not want shift easily into 6th at 60 to 70 mph. With a little bump it does go in but there is a hitch in the shift.

My 2002 Z06 requires more effort to put it in 6th than any other gear. I don't mind, as it keeps me from getting 6th when I want 4th.

FWIW, my 5th to 6th shift seems pretty smooth. It might be worth having someone how has a 6 speed Vette drive it also. They can tell you for sure if it's normal or not. My gut feeling is it might have a problem.

My 6-sp 03 goes smoothly into 6th just about anywhere and any time.

There is an electric lockout for reverse on that side of the shifter. Maybe it is a little out of adjustment. I think I'd have it checked out.
