I had time to adjust carb today after work. Let vette warm up. Connected vacuum guage to manifold vacuum source. Left vacuum advance hose from distributor to ported vacuum on carb connected. My reading was a steady 20 on vacuum guage. Adjusted idle mixture screws to get full highest vacuum reading. I am now 5 turns out and a reading of 20.5 on vacuum guage. Adjusted idle screw to reach desired RPM's.
Now, as John mentioned above, should the vacuum advance hose from the distributor be connected to full manifold vacuum or leave it at the ported vacuum on carb? Does it really make a difference?
