DON'T rely of CarFax! They've earned a very bad reputation for claiming to know all, but in fact know little of your car's history. They lost a class-action lawsuit on this point last year. Notice their ads are gone from TV?

They only subscribe to certain databases, and depending on where you live, you could only end up with whether the car has a salvage title which your DMV could tell you for free. Here in Michigan, that's all you'd get since they don't subscribe to the insurance databases that they imply they do.

Best bet is have a Chevy dealer run your VIN. Most Corvettes "go home" for work, especially collision.
