Carpet installation caveat

I've been putting new carpet in my car all week long, what a chore. Cutting, measuring, gluing, fitting, removing dozens of trim pieces and screws. I thought it would take a few hours at most, but here it is a week later I'm still working on it. All that and I get to work on it in a stifling hot garage.

Anyway, just a warning to anyone else installing carpet: I broke the bracket that holds the accelerator pedal. I'm surprised that the bracket is so delicate, or maybe it was broken from the previous owner. Found a new one at a corvette salvage yard via the internet. Putting it in tomorrow and I'll be back in business.

Be careful around the accelerator bracket!
