am trying to make antenna work on 1994 corvette convertible. previous owner installed a pioneer deh-x2600ui and did not hook up the power antenna. any help would be appreciated. :L

The factory radio had two units to it. The Control Head was the unit mounted in the dash.
The CDM was a metal box mounted/velcroed in the rear passenger side storage bin.

When you install an aftermarket radio you eliminate the CDM if you get rid of the Bose amplified speakers. You unplug the three connectors and depending on how the new system is wired you plug a new harness into the three disconnected harness plugs.

One of the plugs has six pins with wires Orange, Yellow, Pink and Black. Not sure what the color of the other two wires are if they are used.

The Pink wire goes to the antenna and when 12 volts is applied to it the antenna goes up. When no power, zero volts is applied to it, the antenna mast goes down.

On the back of the new radio electrical plug should be a Blue/White wire. This wire should connect to the Pink wire at the disconnected CDM plug.

Here's a picture of the CDM and the location of the 6 pin plug that is disconnected when you install an aftermarket radio.

The Yellow circle shows the pin the original antenna Pink wire went to. This is the wire the Blue/White wire from the new radio wiring harness should connect to.

The plugs are still in the edm. whoever installed the aftermarket radio must have wired through these. The amplified original speakers were replaced. Not sure why the plugs are still in the edm. will attempt to have the radio on, and then disconnect the plugs from the edm. if this works then I will run a line from the blue and white wire on the aftermarket radio to the pink wire location at the edm location. currently I have tried to attach a wire from the blue and white to the pink wire in the original plug, still located behind the new radio. will update after I try this. casey

The back of the factory Radio Control Head had a 7 pin and 9 pin connector. For the power antenna to work you need to run the Blue/White wire from the new radio and splice into the Pink wire at the CDM connector as I showed in the picture.

That Pink wire powers the primary relay coil of both the Power Antenna relay and Bose Amplifier relay.
Do not splice into the Pink wire at the 7 Pin connector at the back of the Radio Control Head.

I did as I stated above. The radio working with all but the six pin terminal installed. the six pin terminal on the edm where there are four terminal is open, nothing installed, six pins are visible. When I disconnect the other three, the speakers are no longer powered up. at this point I attached a wire from the blue and white wire from the aftermarket radio to the pink wire still in the edm. Wire from the aftermarket is hot, the antenna did not work and the speakers did not respond. by placing the plug back in the edm the radio speakers responded but the antenna still did not respond. So I have tried about all I can unless there is some way to test the antenna motor to assure it works. Is there a fuse on the antenna line? Not sure if we can share our phone numbers, but if we could I will give it to you. thanks, Casey

When I disconnect the other three, the speakers are no longer powered up. at this point I attached a wire from the blue and white wire from the aftermarket radio to the pink wire still in the edm. Wire from the aftermarket is hot, the antenna did not work and the speakers did not respond. by placing the plug back in the edm the radio speakers responded but the antenna still did not respond. The antenna motor is powered by the LH CTSY 20 amp fuse which is hot all the time.

What you are saying makes no sense. If the factory Bose speakers are no longer used, disconnecting the two four pin connector plugs at the CDM should make no difference.
