First post on CAC! I've been a member of another certain large Corvette forum (ahem) but finally signed up here as it sounds like there's a lot of technical competence here I don't want to miss out on. Without further 'do:

Looking for a source of valve covers like so:

or

But for SBC. Preferably w/o any brand names on them (Edelbrock would be okay to match intake, Chevy/Vette/Flags okay). I see these things around but never know where they come from. The cast aluminum ones have a great clean look but the welded sort have that "This engine is so badass I can't even use mass-produced valve covers" thing going on. :smash:

Please let me know where you've had luck or what you've seen around, thanks!

GM Performance Parts has covers like the top photo, but for small-blocks; I used them on the 383 I built for my tube-frame Grand Sport replica. :)

You can check with JEGS or Summit Racing. Both have all kinds of valve covers to choose from. Also WELCOME to CAC.

That's the ticket: https://store.gmperformanceparts.com/store/SelectProd.do?prodId=7720

But this is weird, the blank ones cost ~$210 for ONE, whereas the same with the logo is ~$240 for the PAIR? ( https://store.gmperformanceparts.com/store/SelectProd.do?prodId=7549 ) Shouldn't that be reversed if anything? Are they charging you more because you're not advertising for them?

Now that I got off my butt and searched the 'Bay I'm seeing rather a lot of fabricated covers out there. Has anyone had problems with cheap ones warping and leaking?

Thanks for the welcome!

Thanks for the welcome!
Had a set of cheap chrome steel ones and they warped and leaked, even with the load spreader triangle thingies. Got some old-school MT aluminum finned covers that looks good and are rigid enough not to leak.
