ad HEY CAN ANYONE HELP? NEIGHBORHOOD CATS ARE CLAWING OR KNEADING AT THE CAR COVER. I HAVE TWO COVERS ON MY VETTE BUT IT JUST PISSES ME OFF. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA HOW TO STOP THEM? IT'S MOSTLY DONE AT NIGHT. I CAUGHT ONE DOING IT THIS MORNING.ad BTW THEY ARE POOPING ON MY LAWN TOO DURING THE MONTHS.ad

Red Pepper works wonders...Cheapest and most effective anti-cat agent that I found. Humane too. Gotta be humane.

Besides running the animals off harmlessly, its kind of entertaining waiting and watching for the offending cat to tip toe into the forbidden area and get a snoot full of red pepper !

I had issues with cats using a section of dirt right next to my front door as their private litter box. Piles of cat crap that stunk constantly. Not wanting to shoot the things, for fear of arrest or damage to property, I elected to use the brain they don;t have....

2 bottles of red pepper sprinkled in the area did a great job,. and was fun to watch too !

Perhaps if it was sprinkled all around the car each evening for awhile and a little on the top cover that would end the problem. Just be careful not to get a dose yourself...it causes instant sneezing and some eye, throat irritation if the pepper dust is inhaled.

That was my concern...and how the red pepper solution came to be..I was'nt gonna waste any dex-cool on the neighbors cat, but a lead pill was sure tempting.

I believe Ecklers has a Christmas special on pre-cats going now. You can get both left and right for less than the cost of a bottle of Tabasco, and that included gaskets.

They also have a couple cats wich can be put on a C-4 but they're not on sale.

Any newer anti-frezze has a bittering agent in it. Gotta have some old stuff to be sweet.

Now that said GM Junkie persuaded me to give up this method in the future as it really was not human .

If you've ever seen any animal die from anti-freeze or any kind of poisoning,It's not a very pretty site!:eyerole

But we have a few around here,(18 at 1 time) But we'er down to 5!:L
I don't have a problem with them any more,I've got 2 outside trained and they don't get on the cars or let any of the neighborhood cats either!!They got fly'n lessons,found out crash landings sucked!!


I used to use some stuff I think it was called Cat B Gone I bought it at the farmers market in Asheville NC. It was a QT Spray Bottle of several different kinds of peppers,Worked good on a couple neighbors too!!
Just sprayed it around the bottom and on top of the covers,About 3 sniffs and they were out of there!

I had a serious problem and I mixed cans of tuna with anti freeze .I put out 5 cans once a week for a month.It's been a long time since I've seen a cat.

Now that said GM Junkie persuaded me to give up this method in the future as it really was not human .

I also learned that the cats will follow the food..pretty much anywhere,...so, I bagged up about 20 little plastic bags of cat food, poked some holes in the bags, then thru the bags on the roof of the most hated neighbor in the area....

2 hrs later we see 20 cats crawling all over her roof and crapping on everything in sight. After 2 or 3 nites of free meals on the roof, the cats just went up there after that on their own...funny as hell.

I buy my dog food (things are tough )at Brooks Farm And Feed and if there is a crowd I ask the clerk if a loud voice "I'd like ten pounds of cat killer".THAT's cat be gone . Of course that was before Junkie called me a "cruel bastard"
