Hello Vetters, just wondering if anyone has any experience in installing a cd changer to the existing Bose system in a 92 coupe, I understand that all is needed is to tap into the attena ,but is that the attena on the iradio head system or does the attena go to the remote radio reciever, any installation tips would be greatly appreciated.Thanx

If you are talking about a changer that uses FM radio signals the install is very easy... basically, you set one of your pre-set radio stations to what the changer is set for... the Changer actually transmitts over FM signal, so your car picks it up like a radio station.... all that is required to hook up to the car is the power source.

Yes ! that is the one I am refering to, I understand that it works through the fm signal, My question is has anyone installed one,Does the dash have to come apart to get at the attena, where has anyone mounted it, etc, Thanx for the input:beer

hi ford no more,I had a sony 10 cd player hooked up to my '99 by circuit city-Ithink it was about 230.00 complete.they mounted the box(cd holder) in the back of the rear compartment in one of the storage bins and the control module (which measured about 2"x3") in the ash tray.they just velcroed it in and i could close the ash tray lid and no-one knew it was there. It also worked off of an fm station(no connection to the antenae)The # is cdx-2450 hope this helps it was a really good unit :w dennis

From my understanding, they run off of a fm modulater that the attena plugs into then the modulator plugs into the stereos head unit,Im just trying to get some ideas of where to put everything or let someone install it for me,but I dont want some shop to butch my console panels.thanx for the info:beer

hi fnm, when they put mine in it was all a plug in stuff they just pulled the radio out ,connected it ,and put it back.then ran the wires. Is there a circuit city in Vegas?I know these are different year cars but the application should be similiar. dennis:w

Thanx Folks, yes we do have a Circuit city Ill have to check out there prices,I also prefer sony products.Thanx again:beer
