Hello
I have a 1982 collectors edition.
The check engine light came and it also is not runnung as it shoule.
I ordered and recieved a cable to plug in and software to run on my laptop. As it does not work I called the copany about 4 times.
On my connector under the ashtray I have grd on pin A and 5 Volts on pin E.
That is about all I know,other than the software does not run.
On place I saw u can connect pin A to B and turn key on and it will blink the code out.
That does not work either. Does anyone know whick way I should turn????

ECM going bad???
the computers in these c-3's are so primitive,as they were the beginning of using computers in the vehicles.
What is it doing when it does run???
you might also want to check in the crossfire part of the forum as that those treads are dedicated to the crossfire vettes.

check with the corvette vendors, if they don't have them,perhaps they can tell you where to get your reprogrammed

What does it do, or not do?
If you short A and B and turn the key on, it should blink 12 three times then the code(s) then 12 again three times.
Pulling Codes on your Corvette without a code reader
Does it do anything? The CEL is coming on, so the computer is doing something.
