Anyone got any suggestions as to a cell phone mount that will fit a 2004 A/C Vent? I have bought one but as it turned out the clips that slip over the individual vent slats are too short. I am at a loss. I do not want to mount anything to the dash. Tnx, Sam

I put mine in the cup holder....yeah, the ONLY cup holder. After all, is it allowed to eat or drink in a Vette? :ugh

I have the Motorola Droid with the windshield suction cup mount. When I'm feeling all 'techy', I put the phone it in and stick it to the center of the windshield just above the dash. The phone is sideways, and I mount it low enough that it almost touches the dash. It works really super good. Doesn't get in the way of seeing the road or traffic from the side.

Maybe consider that mounting solution??

Could you share a picture with me? I'd love to see how it looks, before I go off the deep end and spend up to $98 for a Proclip Mount/Adapter.

This mount is specifically for my Droid. When I put it in the cradle, it turns my display sideways, turns on my GPS and music files, etc. You can get a universal suction cup mount from Walmart, Advance Auto etc. for $15-$30

Thanks for the pictures Bo, while your installation is nice it's not quite what I had in mind. I have decided to experiment on creating a mounting bracket from common hardware found at Lowes on my 1999 Mazda B3000. If I am successful I will move on up to my 2004 Vette. While Proclip makes a adapter/mount close to what I want, the price is restrictive.
If the bracket I bought at Lowes for 58 cents can be fitted with a suitable holder I will attach pictures. Till then I am interested in hearing what my fellow Vette Owners have done.
Thanks, Sam

I replaced the the radio last week with a single din unit with Nav, SiriusXM, USB Audio and Video and bluetooth. When I turn on the bluetooth, I can put the phone in the console or glovebox and do all I need to do through the radio.

No pictures of the install yet, but I'll get some.

..."while your installation is nice it's not quite what I had in mind"...

As I stated, it's a suction cup windshield mount...there's no installation required...what did you expect??, ya suction it to the windshield. ;shrug

I wouldn't want anything blocking one of my vents. This thing is hot enough inside the way it is without utilizing one of the dash vents as a phone cooler.

I glued a mount to a disc brake puck. I put it in the cupholder
The puck was from a 80's impala

sorry , no pics
