Hi, First time poster here. I own a 1990 Turquoise Coupe that I purchased last fall. Now that its spring, I have started to drive itand my wife and I love it. Last week we took it on a trip from Mid Michigan to Minneapolis and it was a wonderful ride.

My first, and probably not last question is, during that trip the change oil light came on. I had it done in Minneapolis, but the place I took it to (Jiffy Lube) did not reset the light. I've tried the way it works on my Olds, that is three pumps of the gas petal with the key turn to 'on'. This didn't work. So I'm asking the question....how do I reset the Change Oil warning light?

On a 93 Vette these are the steps
1: Turnkey to RUN
2: Press ENG MET Within 5 seconds Press the ENG MET Button again
3: Within 5 seconds of step 2 press and hold the GAUGES button, The CHANGE OIL light will flash
4: Hold the GAUGES button until the CHANGE OIL light stops. When the oil light goes out the Engine Oil Life Monitor is reset.

Hope this helps

Check your owners manual if you have one. It will have the right procedure to reset your oil light, every car is different in what to do.

My owners manual (90 Vert.) reads as follows;

1. Turn the key to the "on" position, do not start engine.

2. Press the ENG MET button on the trip monitor and release. Then, within 5 seconds, press and release the ENG MET button again.

3. Within 5 seconds of step 2, press and hold the range button on the trip monitor. The CHANGE OIL light will flash.

4. Hold the RANGE button until the CHANGE OIL light stops flashing and goes out. When the light goes out, the engine oil life monitor is reset. This should take about ten seconds. If it doesn't reset, turn the ignition "OFF" and repeat the procedure.

Hope this helps.
