The light above the gas and temp guage on the dash is out. The speedometer and other guages are lit so I suspect it's just a burned out bulb. I tried twisting the socket in the back of the instrument cluster but it did not budge and I didn't want to try to force it until I knew for sure that's how it comes out.

So, how do you get the darn thing out? Twist it? Clockwise / Counter clockwise? If it's just stuck, what would you recommend to lossen it up? WD40?

I always twist mine clockwise, but I think either way will work. If it still won't go, VERY carefully get a needle nose pliers or something similar to rock it back and forth a little to "break" the stuck socket loose. I'd go easy with the WD-40, but it may help.

Thanks guys. I'll give it a try tonight or tommorrow. I really appreciate the help.

It snaps in and they can be very tight . wiggle it a little like said before and it should free up no twisting should be needed you may break the wiring if you twist it they get pretty brittle with age Steve
