I have a leak from the oil pan gasket. I have tried to tighten it and it still leaks at the rear. I have secured a new gasket and have the car on a ramp. The oil pan is loose, but I can not get it out. The power steering is in the way. What do I have to do to get this out. Help! Can I loosen something, or jack something up?

Jeff,
You need to drop the steering centerlink. Take it loose at the idler arm and pitman arm. You might have enough room if you remove it from just the idler arm. While you are there this would be a good time to replace the rear main seal.

Another thing to consider is the newer one piece oil pan gasket. They are easier to install and help reduce chance of leakage especially at the front and rear. If you can't find it locally, summit racing has them.
