Ok...need to know:ugh ....I just got a Battery Tender to keep the battery fresh for the winter, they describe 2 ways to hook it up, one with the negative clamp on the negative post and the other with the negative clamp on the frame depending on what type of system the car has. Can anyone tell me what works best?
:confused
Thanks!!!!

The theory is having the negative on the frame rather than the negative post of the battery allows you to be remote from the battery when you attach or detach power. Occasionally, if a battery has built-up gases, a battery can rupture or spray when attaching or detaching power... which means you don't want to be close to it. Other than that, there's no advantage to attaching at the frame versus the post.
