Need new opti for 94 Caprice has the vent hose on it so I quess it is the later 95 model? Any one know the cheapest place to get one.

I would try Jeff Koop at Superior Chevy.
800 728-8267. There's also the The last detail & GM parts. Sorry I don't have the exact addresses with me.

Ethan,

The Last Detail is at - www.tld-corvette.com
They want $370 for the Optispark.

I agree with Rabbit. Call Jeff. He's a great guy and helps out all the Vette owners and gets you parts at dealer cost. He got me the speedo gears and sensor at a good price that was way better than I could find hunting around the net.

Search this forum for the Optispark. This discussion came up not too long ago and there were a number of places to check.

I replaced the optispark in my '93 LT1 with one I purchased at autopartsgiant.com. It was the cheapest one I was able to find at the time.

Good luck.

I have ordered from Jeff Kopp of Superior Chevrolet myself. He is located in Kansas. The price on the stock Opti was very good and I also purchased a GM water pump from him for $155.00 - and that is a great price. The water pump also included a brand new thermostat.

He's a very nice guy to deal with.

Search on camaroz28.com, you will find tons of info.... I bought my vented opti and new AC Delco water pump for my 95 Z28 from Sam Smith (Fairway Chevy).. I have heard he has a new place he works for now and I don't have the info on that.. BUT.. I hear these guys are great too, although I've never dealt with them. I paid like $187 for the new vented opti and $120 for the WP assembly, which comes with a thermotat, water neck and housing all together. I know someone who bought some aftermarket crap and I thought the quality looked bad. Go original.

Wow Steve, those are some awesome prices!:cool You certainly received a very good deal on the parts. And I thought that $155.00 for the GM waterpump was very good...you did alot better than me.
