Sure enough I own her for two weeks, she start acting up:thumb.

The check engine light code goes as the following and I do not know hoe to read OBD 1 codes. I've spent a few hours on the internet with no avail.

Flash pause flash flash, flash pause flash flash, flash pause flash flash,
Flash pause flash flash flash, flash pause flash flash flash, flash pause flash flash
And then if memory serves me well, the last set was 4 flashes and a pause.

I have noticed with the car, if I drive her easy, like a Sunday cruse she's fine. If I have some high school punk in his Honda Civic with the fart cannon going off at a red light and i punch her *13 of the way bear in mind, not enough to smoke tires but good throttle action* the next light i get too she idles very rough and I will need to put her into neutral to keep her going. She will do that on hot day and cold days. I know it's not a cooling issue.

Thank you all for the help:w

I can't answer your question regarding the codes, but if you don't get an answer here, you might try the crossfire forum. Good luck.

Might Help

I am learning this all myself, but it seems that your car flashed 12 and then 13. The 12 was just to let you know it was starting up and the 13 was an error code.

In my 88 FSM code 13 = "Oxygen Sensor Circut (Open Circut)"

I don't really know what that means but the 3 options are: Look into other codes, faulty O2 sensor, and faulty ECM or ECM connection.

I doubt this is as much help as you want, but I hope it helps at least a little.

That was a lot of help sir :-). The guy who i bought the car from who is a grade A D* guy who lacks the crainial matter* ripped out the cat *they're only 800 bucks* and ran nothing but straight pipe. I can almost tell you that his move to do that is making my corvettes computer system contemplate suicide while it idles.

On an 84, cat removal has no detremental effect on the ECM and will not affect driveability. All it will do is make the car pollute more and make it noisier.

The code 13 you get from flash-code diagnostics means there is either an open in the O2S circuits, a faulty O2S or a faulty ECM.

To properly diagnose the fault code, you need the factory service manual's troubleshooting chart.

Well, this now has me in a bind:mad. I'm going to start by using a wire to short out the o2. Drive with that and start from there. I also had someone mention an Idle air controller as well?? I feel lost now lol:w

First do not ground the O2 check you may damage more components. See if the sensor is in fact plugged in.

Welcome to L-83 ownership..

We have a Crossfire section here too: CrossFire Injection Mine - Corvette Action Center

Someone has mentioned the CrossFire Injection Forum, thats a good one too.. Never have too little resources..

As others have said, dont short the sensor. See if the cabling is ok and if the sensor is in fact plugged in. I have found sensors that crumbled when they were touched.
