my check engine light just came on and check the code :"Idle Air Control System RPM Higher Than expected" ; " System too Lean Bank 1" . I have a 96' CE LT1 60K. So far she runs and starts fine. Is there anything that I can do to solve this problem ?:W

Look for a vacuum leak, primary cause of a lean condition. All the small hoses and connectors as well as the brake booster. Also look at the rear of the intake manifold for coolant leaks as your miles are about right to develop the famous leak. If coolant can get out, air can get in.

Most likely the IAC is gunked up w/carbon, take it off and clean it w/throttle body cleaner and the spray a dab of wd-40 or the like.

Also clean inside the TB and get some pipe cleaners that pipe smokers use, spray heavy coat of TB cleaner on it and run it threw the IAC opening to get the carbon out of there.
