And the hits just keep on coming. Got a surprise in my eMail box today. ;)

Thanks to 81kix and her charming daughter, who happened to be parked beside me on the field at Carlisle.

Check out my droopy tailpipes. ;LOL

You were actually very thoughtful to remove those sidepipes so people wouldn't burn their legs on them when they came up to look at your car. And some thought you took them off just for the noise:eyerole :L . What a guy eh? 67 was real sweet and was well received, congrats again:beer

Doug,

That must'a been nearly $3.50 worth of gas right there. :crazy

;LOL

;LOL and that was just to fire her up right? You need to get a sponsor for next year....like Petro Canada , Sunoco or Esso. You gotta admit that good ol 67 is performing fantastically and getting way better mileage than any of us ever expected. You really planned everything out well when you chose your combinations, well done sir, well done! . Well calculated and cautious but never careless when you chose and now you reap the benefits!:upthumbs

Cool. Hey you can see my car in the video sitting next to the Grand Sport. Cannot hear it though because of all the racket 67 is making:D. All I got to say is mine sounded wimpy compared to 67.

Heavy
not meaning to cut down on newer generation Vettes, but this was funny.....
At Carlisle this year my car happened to be parked in the 63-67 registry area and directly behind where Mid-America had a display set-up with a few various C4's, C5's, and C6's with various types of aftermarket exhaust systems they were selling. During the entire show we would hear them revving up these cars to demo the sound of the exhaust systems for customers interested.
sorry, but no modern aftermarket exhaust on a newer generation vettes sounds as sweet (and tough) as side pipes on a C2 (or even an early C3). At one point the wife of another C2 forum member who happened to be sitting in our tent visiting remarked that these cars sounded like "Baby Vettes". ;LOL

than again, we could probably have taken every Midyear car there with side pipes and had them all rev up together at the same time and Bob's 67Heaven would still have outdone us all :D

I sure don't disagree with you Barry. The big blocks sound even better in the C2s. I do have a plan for next year. I have a very large amplifier that I am going to bring with me. When 12 noon Sat comes i am going to turn that baby on, start the Z, and have someone hold a microphone right at the exhaust. If I can find two amps I'll have the stereo effect going:L. I hope to blast the speakers right out of the cabinets:W. I hope to have the Borla stingers on by then.

Man....that was some good eaten..... I think this coming year I'm doen the Moose Flank Parmigiana as a main course with the Beaver Nostrials in Red Sauce as an appetizer....and maybe a nice bowl of Northern Elk roasted spleen soup.
And ..for desert...Frozen Salmon Balls with Chocolate sauce.....Mmmmmmmm..

Now that you've heard the way it sounded going through the Grandstand for the Award........oh yeah :naughty: .....imagine how it sounded to the cop directing traffic at the stoplights between Gates 1 and 3.

As soon as I left the Grandstand, I drove straight out of Gate 3 and down Spring Road to N. Hanover. As I passed the cop standing in the middle of the street, I thought, "Oops!!!"

He didn't even flinch. Carlisle! ;LOL :upthumbs ;LOL
