Cleaning Convertible Top

I just purchased a 2001 white convertible with an tan top. The transporter must have touched the top with his grimmy hands while loading and unloading from the covered trailer. Any ideas how and what to clean it with.

I have a black top and only need soap and water but my c6 on order has a light top so i've asked the same question.I've been told to check the Corvette museum web/store that they have a product and I understand Mr.clean has a product.I'm sure you'll get better info from others.I'll watch and see what other responses are,good luck--Steve

I just came across this post & thought I would add my 2 cents... I recently bought a 2001 convertible that had some light to moderate stains on the top. The RAGGTOPP cleaner / protectant combo worked well. It was kind of pricey ($25-$30) but it got the stains out & the protectant makes water bead up now like the thing was waxed. I took the extra step of covering the car with thin poly drop cloths when spraying on the protectant to avoid overspray onto the paint. I would highly recommend this product combo. All the best...

I take my top, open it partially (front & back in air), then run a sheet through to cover the interior, windshield, and trunk. I then drop the top back in place and am totally covered when applying the RaggTopp conditioner. That stuff is AMAZING!

I agree. That's the same thing I did with the poly tarps... The top design makes it really easy to do.
