Cleaning out Master Cylinder reservoir

Sounds good. Gravity feed works fine but if you want to save time buy a couple sets of these.:thumb
One man bleeding; you crack the speed bleeder open but it remains sealed and only lets fluid out when you pump the brake.

Corvette caliper bleeder is M10 X 1.0;
Russell Performance 639560 - Russell Speed Bleeders – SummitRacing.com
Many different brands ;may find alternative at your local parts place.
Dorman # 12706
Edelbrock # 639560

You'll be fine. The only way air would get in is if you pressed the brake pedal when the reservoir was down and then you'd suck the air in.

Where do you put the jack stands for the front and the rear? I know where to lift it on the front. But I'm guessing the rear, you lift it under the differential?
lift off the diff if you can clear the exh
Stands go immediately in front of rear wheels ; there is heavy section of frame where it kicks in and up to the dogbone mounts.
On frame behind front wheels where frame kicks in .Nice wide area to place stands

looking at the jacking pdf thing I think it is under the fuel filter on the passenger side if I remember correctly..

That is where the factory jack fits .On the front put stand further forward underneath and inboard of where the battery is.

Also on the speed bleeders. Some people say they have had problems with them leaking, and that they put the OEM pieces back in, and it stopped leaking. .

I don't know how they can leak; when done up tight they seal on the seat in the caliper exactly the same as the stock bleeder. They only work as a bleeder when they are undone of the seat.

Yeah, I don't know either on the speed bleeders. But they do come with sealant on the threads. And they sell a tube of sealant for people to apply to the threads who I guess race and bleed the brakes alot. I just thought it was odd that you might need to reseal the threads with sealant, whereas you don't have to do that on OEM bleeders.

Will the gravity bleed remove air and crud? Or just change the fluid?

The sealer is to seal the theads WHEN the speed bleeder is open so air doesn't leak back past the threads.Does nothing when bleeder is seated. The bleeder has a one way valve , that lets fluid out under pressure; obviously if air could get back in when you lift your foot off the pedal it would defeat the purpose.
Gravity flush will clean anything out of lines.I like to use a different color fluid so I know when the new stuff is coming out.

I cradle the seam in the jack stand cradle. The seam is double thickness and the edge is stronger than letting the flat part of the frame rest on your jack stand. On speed bleeders; anyone with leaks has probably loosened them too much. It only takes 1/2-3/4 turn for them to work. From my experience, a gravity bleed is very inefficient with a high potential for getting air in the line unless you're keeping it topped off. The Speed bleeders are cheap and way worth it!. Suck out the old reservoir with the baster (keep it away from the paint) fill with fresh fluid. Start with the wheel furthest from the reservoir and work your way in, keeping the reservoir topped. With someone sitting in the car pumping, you can do it in 15 min.:thumb
