Clutch Master Cylinder

Checking all fluids on 'just bought' 94 coupe. The cap on the clutch master cylinder won't budge, and being the reservoir is plastic, I'd hate to twist the whole thing off and cause myself looooots of trouble. I've removed the ECM so getting to it is not a problem.

Anybody experience this?

The cap is held with a regular right hand thread?

Any suggestions for removing it without breaking something?

(Due to the condition of the brake fluid, I suspect that the clutch fluid could be low with the possibly no one has looked at it in ages).

tight cap

I had the same problem with mine before I replaced the clutch slave cylinder.I just took my chances and twisted harder. It came loose before anything broke, though.;)

It's normal clockwise on, counterclockwise off. I had to use channellocks on mine; that sucker works itself on there pretty tight.

and...........Welcome to the :CAC :w

Used a big pair of pliers on mine. The thing is tougher than it looks not that it still could'nt break.
