Must replace clutch.
327/365 hp, 4 speed, 3.70 rear.

Car used for highway, town and country driving.
No racing, however would like to use the power to get up to speed.

Do not want heavy leg pressure required to activate.

Friend recommended Luk 04-084.
Another recommended McLeod (no part #), and still another recommended Centerforce dual action ( seems overkill)

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
As always, thank you,
Jack

I know a lot of guys use the Luk in all the different horsepower engines on 327s. I've seen them recommended many times on the NCRS board. They are all 3 good products.

agree with Tom

Thanks, Tom.
Luk it is based upon my research and your recommendation

Tom,
Are you able to check with your friends that installed the Luk clutch in their 327 to determine the model they used?
Was it 04-021 or 04-084?

Many thanks..

I'll do a search and see what I can find. maybe c5vetter knows.

Appears that 04-021 is the one most often used on the NCRS board. Saw a couple posts from guys with 365 horse engines using them also.

Installed the Luk 04-021 last weekend.
What a difference.

Turned out the clutch removed was a 3 fingered pressure plate, and marks clearly indicated where the throw-out bearing was making uneven contact. Lesson learned.

Glad it worked out. I may be using that clutch in my '59 when It goes back on the road.
