Is it necessary to access any coolant hoses or drain the coolant when
removing a bad or replacing a new clutch disc assembly? Ever since I got my ride back from the dealership 2 weeks ago, who did the clutch work, I've had coolant issues. I've smelled and noticed coolant in the engine bay — on passenger side just behind headlight and in the area outside and above the recovery unit after engine has had time to really heat up. I can't see where the coolant is leaking or sprouting from, but recently I saw it dripping on the ground. The area around & the front of the water pump (replaced 8 months ago) appears to be dry/normal. Thanks

No hoses are touched that I know of. Could have let the engine droop a bit when the trans was removed and strained or pulled loose one of the many cooling hoses. Also there is an aluminum steam pipe that bolts to the back of each cylinder head and connect together. Check them for damage.

Thanks,

Mike
