If the clutch slips it's going bad and needs repair.
If the clutch travel is incorrect, it may be going bad.
If the clutch releases right at the floor it's probably bad
If it releases right at the top of the travel it's probably going bad.
If the pedal effort is really high you may have a clutch hydraulics problem.
If the pedal effort is inconsistent you may have a clutch or clutch hydraulics problem.
Better to you tell us what the problem is that had you ask the question.
Hib, i think i have no problem, but maybe i suspect its bad, and thats why i ask.
So, you mean the releases should be at half way of the travel?
All cars clutch checking the same?! assuming the other car is (Audi TT 2002) 6 speed! the mechanic said the pedal goes to the floor easy and i need to change the clutch and the oil pump for pedal ( audi TT1.8 has 2 pump 1 for pedal the other for clutch) !
So i did not believe him, taking car to other mechanic and change the Pedal pump and it seems ok now, the pedal feeling and shiffting are better now.
So i need to know how it could be with my ZR1 90! when the time come for necessary clutch repair?
