This Z06 does not have the stock wheels. It's for sale on ebay and I'm wondering about these wheels. Why would you change the stock ones for these??

Basically, he might have liked the look of those wheels instead of the stock Z06 wheels. That 5 -spoke design is from the 1994-1995 ZR-1 Corvette and the 1996 Collector's Edition Corvette. The design was also used on some late model Camaros as well.

Other than that, I can't think of a specific reason for it.

Lots of people ditch the stock Z06 wheel, if you do any mods you need bigger rubber to get traction.

I've got CCW's with 335's on the back end and I still have traction problems.

Look at some of the GM test cars, and some GM workers.... their Z06's have the 17 inch ZR1 (actually grand sport offset) wheels because testing and real world shows the cars get better lap times with them.
