Containment in a 2-stall garage...

Okay, I don't post here often because I don't have a garage with a lot of room. As a matter of fact, I've gotta share the space, but he's cool about it. :cool

My question: How can I establish a containment area around the rear protion of my car to contain wash water?

I want to get under there while the rear end's out and clean the undercarriage (at least the rear portion) with soap and water.

Funny, I used to have access to an unlimited supply of that type of containment materials, Mark - I worked in a refinery for twenty years. My supply of the "diaper-type" ran out a while ago though. :L

Oh, by the way, the stuff I used allowed water to pass, but contained the oil.

Get some inner tubes...cut them about a foot long...screw two pieces of furring strip to one end then fill it with sand... then nail two more pieces of furring strip to the other end to close it up. make as many of these sand bags as needed.

How about you build a box by what ever diminsion you need and then line it with heavy duty plastic like the use while building a house you can buy a rool of it I think it is called Vis-Queen it is a thick plastic, then staple tit to the box and duct tape the stapled area

Guess I wasn't the only one to notice that. Ken...how about using an inflatable childs swimming pool? They are relatively cheap and should be big enough to catch all the run off. Just a thought.
