Could anyone recommend a spring compression tool for changing my control arms bushings on my C3.
Thank you

I would check with O'Reilly's or AutoZone to see if they have a spring compressor that you can rent or borrow.

If you really wanting to buy one, the one I have is the KD brand and I have no idea if they are still around. I find that I tend to use it about once every 10 years or so, which is why I suggest seeing if you could rent one.

I bought my coil spring compressor from AutoZone for about $30 six years ago. Prior to buying the compressor I used to use the weight of a car to compress the spring and then I used a heavy coat hanger wire to tie one side of the spring. But when I could no longer find heavy coat hangers I finally bought a compressor.
