I would like to hear from the owners that have convertibles on what they have actually used to clean their convertible tops with....not vinyl but the canvass top. Mine sat under a tree and I have acorn stains on it. What really works and doesn't hurt the top?

Hi Cruise11 and Welcome to the forum. :) I clean my canvass convertible top with a sponge and use mild soap. I don't have any stains though. I have heard other convertible owners talking about a cleaner for more stubborn stains and protectant that the Haartz company recommends...the url is http://www.wolfsteins.com/raggtopp/default.asp It also gives instructions on convertible top cleaning.

The Haartz website is http://www.haartz.com

I am going to buy the cleaner and protectant and try it.

Hope this helps....I'm sure other owners will have idea's too. :)
