Question: Converted my 74 to HEI. Coil?

Do need my old coil? Seems like there is one in the unit? Thanks Ralph

The HEI is self-contained -you don't use an external coil. Keep in mind you cannot use your existing "+" wire to the old coil to power the HEI, because your existing wire is a resistor wire - you have to run a 12-gauge wire directly from your fusebox "IGN" source to power the HEI.
