Here's what happened. My locks for the soft top have never worked "perfectly". Yesterday I dismantled the entire mechanism and after trying to put it back together, I realized I have no earthly idea how it goes. :duh

I have a shop manual that seemed (before I removed everything) to illustrate how everything fits together, but it's only useful if everything is there... I guess next time I better take pics before!

Can someone take pics of their convertible with the rear deck lid open, exposing the mechanism for the locks and everything else? Mine is a 69, I'm not sure if any convertible 68 to 75 will do. I assume so, but no idea.

Thanks all.

Sly

I put mine together by looking at parts mags, Corvette central, mid america, zips, others. Mine is not installed and has not been tested but seems correct. If nobody helps you out with a working in car decklid let me know and I will take some pics for you. Good Luck!!

I think I have an old Corvette America catalog somewhere, now just gotta go find it :(

I can lock it manually, so it's not THAT bad... but I'd really like to have it working. The whole point of me removing all the hardware is it wasn't working perfectly, now not at all :cry

If you can take pics, that would be great!

Sly,

Has anyone sent you pics. I have the same problem. Would love to see the pics.

But as stated earlier. Check out the parts catalogs they have some very detailed drawings. This should help.
