I have a 93 Convertible ...the LEFT side of my convertible top STOWAGE LID sits about 1" - 1.5 " higher than on the right. The right side is perfect ...the left is raised significantly ...

The bumpers that are on each side of the interior of the stowage lid do NOT serve as
height adjustments ...I suspect that the latch that the STRIKER enters is what I need to adjust. Mine has 3 HEX screws holding the striker in place ...my thought is that if I drop the latch 1 - 1.5 " I can get things to line up ...while I have not taken it apart yet, I do not see an obvious way that the latch would adjust ( vertically ) ...
any thoughts anyone ?

( I have the 3 Volume service manual set ...no help )

Thanks.

I have an old Camaro Conv. too. Lubricating the hinge pins solved all my uneven problems.
Good luck

had the same problem on my '95, just the opposite side. I took off the striker bracket on the 'b' pillar and elongated the holes as much as possible. It came down to where it was not readily apparant, but I could have gone another 1/4 inch to make it perfect. unfortunately the bracket as I remember doesn't allow elongation after a certain point.
Hope this helps...

Pete

Anyone have any idea what actually makes the deck lid sit so uneven like that in the first place? While I do not have this problem on my car, and have not seen it on other cars, I am rather curious as to the cause of it. Thanks. :)
