LT4 coolant leak

Noticed that familar coolant odor driving home last night. I can see coolant dripping down to the garage floor when running, but can't locate the source.

All hoses checked out and the weep hole is dry??

Any ideas? Don't want a new opti just yet.

Front or rear of engine compartment?

I have seen the water pump leak at the gaskets to the block.
I have also seen the steam pipe coming off the back of the heads leak coolant as well.

If you are sure that it is not a waterpump, then follow the trail of coolant to it's highest point, there should be residual or stains to follow. If you have to, run the vehicle when hot and see if you can smell/see the leak, it sounds like it should be substantial from your description. Good luck with it.

What is not to say it isn't leaking from the cam drive on the pump? Your weep hole could be dry but still be leaking from the cam drive. One thing is for sure, if it is leaking on your Opti, its days are numbered without prompt correction of the leak.
